Different paths affect outcome Good voice acting Can be pretty difficult Kind of short Action Doom II: Urban Brawl is the sequel to the Doom mod Action Doom. While the first game combined classic Doom gameplay with the arcade action of Metal Slug and Contra, the sequel adds the gameplay of beat-em'-ups like Streets Of Rage and Final Fight to Doom. The story is that your daughter has been kidnapped. You'll need to fight your way throught hordes of punks and get your hands on any weapon you can get to survive. There will also be different choices and paths you can take to affect the outcome of the game. The graphics are cell-shaded to give the look of a comic book. There's also Sin City inspired cutscenes to watch. There's a lot of voice acting from the main character, a lot of which involves profanity. The gameplay is a cross between Doom and a beat-em'-up. In each level, you must defeat all the enemies you can find to progress. You'll also find food for health and weapons, like knives, pipes, and 2x4s. You also have a pistol, which is very powerful, but ammo for it is very rare. It's a very good game, but it can be very difficult, even on the easiest level. You won't be able to survive if you don't constantly carry a weapon. Also, don't forget that the keys for 'Alternate Fire' and 'Drop Current Melee Weapon' aren't set when the game loads for the first time. Be sure to check the file cabinet behind you when you start out to find your gun, too. If you're interested in seeing how the action of Final Fight and other games look in the world of Doom, this is a very good choice.
