Good representation of game
Good music

Putting bit difficult at times

Sometimes, with all the action games you see around, you just want to kick back and relax a bit. Maybe some thinking and strategy involved. Well then, it is time to look at the art of Mini Golf. That's right, Mini Golf!  In this game, you have to strategize and plan your shots carefully. Get your putter ready as you try your hand through this 18-hole course. In Mr. Putts Mini Golf, you get some interesting and unique courses to try your hand at beating. It does a good job at faithfully representing mini golf, and good tunes that you can hear while playing it, which makes this a very interesting game.

You have 18 holes to complete, each one more challenging than the last.  Different obstacles such as water hazards, bouncing walls, and slopes make it the full on mini golf experience. You have to plan your way, and cannot just start shooting away - not on these types of courses, where all it takes is one bad shot in some cases, and in the drink you go.

First off, it is simple to get started with the game. Aim your shot with the mouse button and whenever you are ready hit the left mouse button to start the power gauge and stop it whether you want a strong or weak shot. Next is the aim meter where you aim your shot a bit more.  The goal is to get it in the middle if you want a straight shot. Otherwise, if there are obstacles and such, you can aim it to the left or right to curve your shot like that. The courses themselves each have different obstacles that you will have to pass. At the beginning, the courses are simple but as you advance further, you will have different obstacles and hazards that you will have to avoid. All this will keep you on your toes, so you do not get comfortable. You get that faithful representation of mini golf in the game with the type of courses - the windmill, the animals blocking the middle of the course, and more. If you have played mini golf in real life, this will bring back memories, good or bad, depending on how you do in real life I suppose.

The music itself is well done. There are about three tracks but each one is different and it does not interfere with the game. If you are one of the types who wants complete silence when you mini golf, you can mute the volume so you have your silence. Even sound effects are present, and done faithfully. From the thunk, to hitting a wall, to the splash of your ball going in the water, they are all there. Even a crowd is on hand to cheer or go 'aww' when you miss a shot or hit your ball in the water.  Why are they there? I have no clue, but it adds to the experience.

The only annoying part I noticed, was when you are putting to get to the hole.  If you aim too powerful, your shot may just skip over the hole. Sometimes even if you really have a weak shot it will do this, so it will take a few tries to get used to this.  Once you get used to it, you should have no problems.

This was an enjoyable mini golf game and a good representation of the game itself, so if you are a fan of this type of game, give it a shot. It is called Mr. Putts Mini Golf - and no, that pun just now was not intentional.
